Life

This picture is a hardy hibiscus I planted last year around this time. It looked amazing until fall and then it died....I thought. The stalks were completely crispy. I left them that way until Spring and when all the other plants were waking up....this one wasn't. For some reason, I didn't dig it up though. I planted some other plants but left that spot empty. I'm not sure why...call it providence.

So here we are...in June. I went outside this morning to make my regular plant rounds and what did I see? This little plant coming up. I opened my plant identifier app to scan it and sure enough, it was my hibiscus!! I was really surprised.

I've been thinking about it all day. What areas in my life do I think are "dead", impossible, over, etc? I'm not sure yet. It'll take some more thought.
